Personal Pocketbook gives you the convenience of accessing your line of credit whenever and for whatever you want. The Personal Pocketbook is unlike other signature loan programs in that it offers you an attractive annual percentage rate (APR) of only 3% above the published New York Prime Rate. The annual percentage rate may change quarterly but has a maximum (or ceiling) of 18% and a minimum (or floor) of 11%. Calculating the Monthly Payment
Your monthly payment is 3.5% of the balance at the time of the last advance, or $20.00, whichever is greater. For example, your payment on a Personal Pocketbook Loan with a balance of $1,000.00 at the last advance would have a payment of $35 per month.
Protecting Your Personal Pocketbook
As with most other Financial Plus loan programs, you can protect your Personal Pocketbook Signature Loan. Low-cost Credit Life and/or Accident and Health Insurance are available to protect your credit and most importantly, your family in the event of such a crisis.
Applying for a Personal Pocketbook
You can apply for a credit line on your Personal Pocketbook from $1,000.00 to a maximum of $15,000.00. (The maximum limit will include all unsecured loans you may have at Financial Plus Federal Credit Union.)
There are 3 ways you can apply for a Personal Pocketbook Signature Loan.
- Apply online … go to our Loan Application, complete the application and submit it to the credit union. Be sure to indicate “Personal Pocketbook” for the purpose.
- Apply via mail … you can download a Personal Pocketbook Signature Loan application and print it using Adobe Acrobat - CLICK HERE . Then just complete the application and mail it back to the credit union: Financial Plus Federal Credit Union, PO Box 7006, Flint, MI 48507-0006.
