You may earn up to 500 CarCash Dollars per calendar year. Unused CarCash Dollars will expire each month after 4 years. For example, CarCash Dollars earn in June 2007 will expire on June 30, 2011.

“CarCash Dollars” Vehicle Purchase Rebate Program Guidelines
VISA Classic and VISA Gold
General Description
You can earn CarCash Dollars toward the purchase or lease of a new or used vehicle every time you make purchases using your Financial Plus Federal Credit Union VISA Classic or VISA Gold card. Then, when you are ready to purchase or lease your next vehicle, new or used, you may redeem your CarCash Dollars to reduce the cost of the purchase or have it paid directly to you. Plus, if you finance the vehicle through Financial Plus Federal Credit Union, we’ll double the rebate amount.
All purchases (less return credits) earn CarCash Dollars at a rate of one percent (1%). For example, a $100 purchase earns you one (1) CarCash Dollar. Cash advances, their equivalents and balance transfers are not eligible to earn CarCash Dollars. When you redeem your CarCash Dollars, you will receive one dollar ($1) for each CarCash Dollar earned. You may earn up 500 CarCash Dollars per calendar year. CarCash Dollars expire at the end of the monthly billing cycle four years after they are earned. The CarCash Dollars earned each month and your total accumulated CarCash Dollars are reported each month on your Financial Plus Federal Credit Union VISA statement.
To use your Financial Plus Federal Credit Union CarCash Dollars, shop for the vehicle and negotiate your best deal. The CarCash Dollars program is a direct payment to you, above and beyond any discounts, manufacturer rebates and other incentives for which you may qualify.
It’s easy and convenient to redeem your CarCash Dollars. First, you must qualify by purchasing or leasing a new or used vehicle. The vehicle must be licensed for on-road use — it may be a car, truck, van, sports utility vehicle, motorcycle, or motor home. Second, provide Financial Plus Federal Credit Union with proof of the purchase: 1.) bill of sale or lease agreement, and 2.) finance agreement. Third, we issue you a check for your CarCash Dollars. If the vehicle is financed with Financial Plus Federal Federal Credit Union, you will also have the option of having the rebate applied directly toward the purchase price, thus reducing the amount you finance and your monthly payment. Remember, if you finance the vehicle through Financial Plus, your CarCash Dollars are doubled.
When you are ready to purchase or lease a vehicle, you will need to follow the easy CarCash Dollars redemption procedure. Your request to redeem your CarCash Dollars is processed immediately if you finance the vehicle with Financial Plus. Otherwise, your request to redeem your rebate points must be made within 30 days of the vehicle purchase or lease, and your CarCash Dollars check will be issued within 14 days of your request.
Eligible Purchases
CarCash Dollars are earned on all purchases, less returned goods and services. CarCash Dollars are not earned on cash advances, convenience checks, balance transfers from other accounts, credits, fees, finance charges and purchases made beyond the maximum 500 annual CarCash Dollars limit. To earn and redeem CarCash Dollars, your Financial Plus Federal Credit Union deposit and loan accounts must be open and in good standing.
Tracking, Expiration and Annual Limit of CarCash Dollars
Each month, your Financial Plus VISA statement will include a summary of your CarCash Dollars. The summary will include the number of CarCash Dollars earned for VISA transactions made during the statement period and a total number of accumulated CarCash Dollars.
Unused CarCash Dollars will expire at the end of the monthly billing cycle, four years after they were earned. For example, CarCash Dollars earned in June 2007 expire on June 30, 2011.
The maximum CarCash Dollars that may be earned during a single calendar year is five hundred (500) CarCash Dollars. Remember, if you finance the vehicle purchase at Financial Plus, the 500 CarCash Dollars double to an annual maximum of 1,000 CarCash Dollars.
Who Is Eligible to Redeem CarCash Dollars
CarCash Dollars may be redeemed by the primary or secondary cardholder on the account. If the CarCash Dollars are redeemed by a cardholder other than the primary cardholder, the primary cardholder must sign the Financial Plus Federal Credit Union CarCash Dollars Redemption Form. The vehicle’s bill of sale or lease agreement must be in the name of the primary or secondary cardholder of the account.
Redeeming CarCash Dollars
Redeeming your CarCash Dollars is easy and convenient.
Financial Plus will issue you a check for your CarCash Dollars within 14 days of approval of your CarCash Dollars request. Or, you may request to have the your CarCash request deposited directly into your Financial Plus account.
If the vehicle is financed with Financial Plus, your redemption of CarCash Dollars may be completed and authorized at the time of the purchase and your CarCash Dollars may be applied directly toward the purchase price. Remember, when you finance the vehicle through Financial Plus, we double your CarCash Dollars.
The maximum allowed redemption amount is two thousand (2,000) CarCash Dollars (doubled to 4,000 if the vehicle is financed through Financial Plus Federal Credit Union), 50% of the vehicle purchase price (or total lease contract), or 50% of the amount financed with Financial Plus, whichever is less. CarCash Dollars earned on multiple Financial Plus VISA cards may not be combined for redemption.
Program Modifications and Termination
The CarCash Dollars program is offered at the sole discretion of Financial Plus Federal Credit Union. From time to time, we may change the program rules, restrictions or benefits, in whole or in part. We will provide advance written notice of any changes.
Financial Plus Federal Credit Union may also terminate this program or portions of it at any time, with advance written notice. If Financial Plus Federal Credit Union terminates the CarCash program, you will have one year from the program termination date to redeem your accumulated CarCash Dollars through the purchase or lease of a vehicle within the guidelines of this program.
