ATM Transactions & Locations
At Financial Plus, we want to help you avoid paying fees for ATM transactions. There are two common fees associated with ATM usage:
Fees Charged by the Card Issuer - Many financial institutions charge a fee for using ATM locations other than the ATMs operated by that bank or credit union. It is also common to charge for transactions beyond a certain monthly limit.
Fees Charged by the Owner of the ATM - Many financial institutions charge non-customers a fee, called a "surcharge," for use of their ATMs. In the Flint area, these fees commonly are $1.50 per withdrawal. ATMs with a surcharge should have both a written notice on the machine and a notice on the screen before you complete the transaction.
Financial Plus Federal Credit Union provides your first 16 ATM transactions per month FREE OF CHARGE at any ATM location. After the first 16 transactions per month, the charge is $1.25 per transaction.
By planning your ATM usage and selecting ATM locations carefully, you can enjoy the convenience of ATM access without paying any fees.
To help you avoid surcharges, below is a list of ATM locations in the Flint and surrounding area that are not currently surcharging. Financial Plus is a member of the Co-Op Network. Our members may use any Co-Op ATM location without incurring a surcharge. Just look for the Co-Op symbol or go to the Co-Op Network ATM Finder for their locations.
